The Whispering Nomads Golf Society was formed in the late 90’s by a group of employees at Canon (UK)
The name of the society was derived from the name of the pub (The Whispering Moon) where the initial meetings were held and the fact that the society was not based at any particular golf course so were free to book any course for matches, hence Whispering Nomads.
The Society still has some founder members and attracts new members from mainly around the Surrey area. A number of competitions are run throughout the year as well as the annual Singles, Doubles and Player Of The Year competitions
Regular visits to Portugal have been a highlight of the calendar for many years
